Warli Style Mutton Curry | Dhaba Style Mutton CurryWarli Style mutton curry is very easy to make and is made from aromatic spices (masalas). This gravy gives you feel and taste of Indian Dhaba mutton curry. It is very simple and easy lamb gravy to cook and you can cook it in no time.




Ingredients

  • 500 g mutton (lamb)
  • 2 - 3 onions (medium size)
  • 3 - 4 Tbsp of refined oil
  • 1 tbsp of salt or to taste

Marination Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp of salt or to taste
  • 1 Tbsp of turmeric powder
  • 1 Tbsp of red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp of oil

For Garam Masala

  • 2 - 3 green cardamoms
  • 1 - 2 Tbsp of coriander seeds
  • 1 Tbsp of cumin
  • 2-3 ginger pods
  • 1/2 tbsp Black Pepper

For Green Paste (Hara Masala)

  • Fresh coriander (handful)
  • 3 green chillies
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 3 - 4 garlic pods
  • 1 tbsp oil

For Garnishing Mutton Curry

  • Few Fresh Coriander leaves

Recipe steps for Warli Style Mutton Curry | Dhaba Style Mutton Curry Recipe 

  • Add one tbsp of edible oil, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt as per your taste.
  • Mix it well and coat the mutton pieces with the spices
  • Keep them aside till further usage
  • Grind the ingredients of Garam masala into fine powder. Keep it aside.
  • Grind the ingredients of Hara masala with one spoon of oil. Keep the green paste aside.
  • Take oil in a wok, pressure cooker and let it heat.
  • Once hot add chopped onions into it. Let them fry till they turn brown into color.
  • Once brown add our Grinded Garam Masala, our Green paste, little amount of water.
  • Give it a mix and let it cook for few minutes or till oil start separating.
  • Now add our marinated mutton pieces and salt as per your taste. Give it a mix.
  • Let them cook for couple of minutes or few minutes on high medium heat.
  • Add Corn Flour (optional for better color). Give it a mix.
  • Let meat pieces cook for 3-4 minutes or few minutes on high medium heat.
  • If needed Stir once to ensure that mutton is not sticking to the base.
  • Add Water. We have added little more than a Glass of water and mutton pieces are almost 80 submerged in the water.
  • Turn the flame to low and Cover the cooker. Don't close just cover
  • If want to  make it quick then you can close the cooker and give 4-5 whistles depending on the burner. First Whistle on High and remaining on the low flame.
  • Now cook till mutton pieces become tender and gravy thickens. If needed add some more water.
  • If needed stir in between once or twice.
  • Open the cover, check if pieces are tender the let it cook till gravy thicken.
  • Once gravy is thick add fresh coriander leaves and give it a mix.
  • Switch off the flame.
  • Transfer our dish to serving dish.
